She must know how to remain herself when something gets very, very loud.

But eventually, your internal capacity becomes part of your business infrastructure.

Because you can hide the spiral. You can hide the second-guessing. You can hide the shame. You can hide how much energy you're spending monitoring everyone's perception of you.

But eventually it shows up in the work.

In what you create.
In what you don't create.
In what you tolerate.
In how you lead.
In the clients you attract.
In how tightly you hold money.
In the risks you're willing to take.
In your ability to stay.

HERETIC isn't another business strategy. I'm not giving you seven steps for becoming an unbothered CEO.

There is no perfect way to respond. No enlightened version of you we're trying to manufacture. And these teachings are certainly not another doctrine you're supposed to hold yourself against.

I've had enough of those for one lifetime.

These are invitations. Ideas. Practices. Stories.

Codes I've learned through more than a decade of entrepreneurship, and through money, relationships, leadership, conflict, creativity, identity, my body, failure, success and starting over.

Some I learned beautifully. Some I learned catastrophically. Some I knew intellectually for years before life finally handed me an initiation difficult enough that I had to actually fucking practice them.

I'm going to tell you those stories, too. Because I don't want you to think you're uniquely unequipped when something gets hard.
